Great selection, good prices. Counter person was incredibly helpful and patient while letting me sample multiple pens. Sales person provided great feed back and good advice while I was making my shopping decisions. Definitely worth visiting.

I’ve always had good luck with Fountain Pen Hospital. Although I collect ball pens rather than fountain pens, the prices are fair. One thing I really like is they are willing to switch out a black refill for a blue one or a medium point for a fine point

Wow . Who knew pens could be this cool ? I went because it was inside the 100 shops to see in NYC book . Hopefully one day I’ll be able to buy one of their high end pens ! They are beautiful .

If you love fountain pens, THIS is the place to go! The knowledgeable and helpful (and charming!) staff know so much about pens that it is amazing! You can't go wrong here!!! They have Rhodia notebooks, inks of all kinds (from inexpensive to expensive) and they will tell you the lowdown on certain pens (I asked about a retractable fountain pen and if they had a certain brand... they didn't because that particular brand made a bad retractable fountain pen that they had had to repair way too often!!)

The Fountain Pen Hospital is a New York City icon. Located in the same place for decades and still providing excellent customer service and advice. After damaging a colleagues collectable fountain pen I immediately thought of this place to get it fixed or replaced. Outstanding service at reasonable prices.

One of the last brick and mortar fountain pens shops in NY. The staff is super helpful and nice. You can try out different pens before purchasing, so that makes for a great shopping experience. I would have liked more variety (they didn’t have the latest from TWSBI or a lot from Sailor).
